Son of famous mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara. A three-member team has begun their expedition to summit the world’s second-highest peak, K2 (8,611m), for the first time in the winter season. One of them was Sajid Ali, son of Muhammad Ali Sadpara.

Sajid Ali Sadpara is on his way with His father Muhammad Ali Sadpara(Famous mountaineer) and John Snorri. John Snorri flew to Islamabad to begin his winter K2 expedition. The Icelander obtained his climbing permit in August, and porters carried his equipment to Base Camp weeks ago. The team includes two high altitude porters, plus Muhammad Ali Sadpara and his son Sajid Ali Sadpara. Muhammad Ali Sadpara participated in the first winter ascent of Nanga Parbat and has summited Nanga on four other occasions. He has also climbed Broad Peak, K2, Lhotse, Makalu, and Manaslu. Sajid Ali topped K2 last year.
